For those who like timelines, this provides some deeper context to the book of James than we will have time to cover during the series:

  • Caesar Augustus was the emperor at Christ’s birth. He ruled Rome 40 years, until 14 AD
  • Tiberius then ruled 22 years, throughout the rest of Christ’s life until 37 AD (Jesus was crucified in about 30 AD)
